Single to Brighton
Alter Ego Gallery is delighted to present Single to Brighton by Battle author Lilian Foreshaw – a fin de siècle book about Sussex, told through an impressive collection of crockery in the author’s home. Signed books are available from the lovely Alter Ego Gallery in Abbey Court, and remember to shop local - £15.00 from Alter Ego (RRP £17.99).
Battle in Pictures
Also launched on October 27th in Battle was Battle in Pictures. Priced at only £8, this attractive book includes previously unpublished pictures of the town and its people - many of which are in colour. Battle in Pictures will be on sale throughout November and December from retailers in the town, including the Post Office, Alter Ego Gallery in Abbey Court and AHA Architects in Mount Street. The Battle Museum of Local History, which is co-publishing the book with YouByYou Books, will also be open every morning during the first two weeks of November for book sales.
With Christmas approaching these books could make ideal presents for friends and family, and best make sure they’re on your own wish list too.
We're sad to report that the Battle Bonfire has had to be cancelled for this year. Open to all from 10am – 4pm. Come and chat to our great Battle businesses about what they have to offer. There will also be an auction, fashion show, car display and Heart FM Angels! Fabulous prizes available too!
