I am a regular visitor to Brickwall Hotel. I have a spare ticket for Goodwood races tomorrow - rather give it away than waste and would drive person there and back. Please call Christine on 07957 920 248.

Tithe Barn Tearooms

29th July 2014

Geraldine Thorne:

Does anyone remember the Tithe Barn Tearoom in the village in the 1960's. I stayed there as a child with my godfather David Prosser and his family. There was also a blacksmith in the village. I am hoping to visit Sedlescombe in September whilst on holiday in the area and would love to have some information particularly about what happened to the tearooms as I can't find any mention of them online anymore. Many thanks.

Sarah Richards

Sarah Richards:

Hello! Oh my goodness, I'm so pleased to hear from you! And I remember Otto too, he was gorgeous. I was looking on google maps on Friday at Sedlescombe and was 'wandering' along the lane in the front of your old house ... and thinking about you and Corinna and Louis, so how spooky is that. Love to hear from you. srichards@ultimariskmanagement.com

Julian Richards:

Hi Aurelia... What an amazing coincidence. I'm spending a few days in Sedlescombe later this month with my family and thought I would check what has changed in 40 years by checking out the village page... And I saw your message!
I remember you well and of course Sarah will. Your sister is Corinna; your brother is Louis, your parents Tony and Gina? And your dog was Otto, I think!
Hope all is well with you! Let me know your email address and I'll put you in touch with Sarah, who lives in Bracknell. Mine is julian.f.richards@HP.com
Best wishes, Julian
